1. The Tennessee Dept of Financial Institutions completed their annual examination of CECU in September 2008. We received their highest rating.

2. For 16 straight years CECU has been rated one of the SAFEST financial institutions in the United States. We have this rating because we have one of the strongest capital and earnings position in the state. We have operated in an efficient manner that has allowed us to have lower expenses and strong earnings to build our capital. Capital is to a financial institution like an emergency savings account is to a family household. It is money that is set aside only to be used in difficult time. While CECU is not experiencing difficult times, our capital position is over twice the industry average.

3. Over the past 6 years CECU had returned a total of $875,000 to our members in the form of Bonus Dividends and Interest Rebates. If we were not in a strong financial position this could not have been done.

4. Your money is insured for $250,000 by the NCUA which is similar to the FDIC for banks. In addition, your IRA's are insured in the aggregate to $250,000.
